Two Hands Interiors is an interior design company based out of Wheaton, IL. This brand refresh project came about during a practicum design class at Columbia College. During the 15-week course, my two colleagues and I produced a range of promotional materials for the company including a catalog of case studies, high-end custom folders for clients, a website redesign, and single sheet handouts documenting previous work.
I was fortunate enough to work on a custom wordmark as part of the logo refresh. The inspiration behind the custom lettering is based on the soft, vibrant appearance of the Venetian-style typefaces created during the Italian Renaissance, primarily those designed by Francesco Griffo. The wordmark was drawn with the intention of adopting the traditional appearance of 15th-century prints while simplifying the rough letterforms to create an identity that is both modern and handmade.
